Quadeca's production on this album is absolutely insane, but his vocal performance lacked which was too bad. 2.9/5 Favs: Sisyphus, Candles on Fire!, Can't You See?, Maybe Another Day..., Burnin Bridges / Long Day, Work!, It's All A Game, Summit Pt. 1, Summit Pt. 2 (Outro)

Before last week Quadeca was an unknown YouTube-based rapper who I now know has one of the biggest platforms in that space but has never produced more than a decent single in his career. However, when his single ?Sisyphus? dropped it absolutely blew me away with what he was doing. It?s like if you took Joji?s alternative RnB style vocals, NF?s style production, and Logic?s rapping ability and you add some indie folk guitar work and glitch hop you have the single. An absolutely flooring merging of styles that have never been this bold before. Now that the whole record is out, to be honest almost all of this record has blown me away. From the explosive ?Candles on Fire!?, ?Work!?, and ?It?s All a Game?, to the more progressive and ambient tracks of ?Shades of Us?, ?Can?t See Me?, ?Maybe Another Day?, ?Alone Together?, and ?Summit, Pt. 1 & 2?. Put together this is an emotional and gigantic and exploratory exercise in experimental hip hop and emo rap. Although the lyrics are not truly breathtaking, the overall production completely blows that out the water. The worst part of the album is a few tracks here and there (specifically ?Smiling at the Ground? and ?People Pleaser?) and the ambient/philosophical interludes do not add much to the project. But man overall this is a beautiful and breathtaking listen from front to back.

Decent production can't save these corny raps and lyrics

a strong album despite run from Burning Bridges to People Pleaser, easily the weakest run
on the album, but everything else is top tier.

Edit: that run hurts the album a fair bit unfortunately, enough to bring it down .5 of a
point, made a playlist with those taken out, so much better
