3.5 great | Gary STAFF | January 26th 21 | Pretty cool black metal album, with some synths here and there and an overall demo-ish sound. Not enough clean singing though!

4.0 excellent | Chino smoking it up! | January 25th 21 | As if this demo wasn t being solid enough, this brave gal pulls off this title track (Hymns of a Forlorn Peasantry), starting with her melodic vocals, so gorgeously! The following final track (From Whence an Ancient Evil Once Reigned) is also really good. The way she uses the synths gives it a singular vibe imo. Surprisingly really good record.

4.0 excellent | Essence | January 25th 21 | this has a lot of different influences spread across its runtime and for a relatively new act, I was consistently impressed with how well all of them are executed and play off of each other

3.5 great | Brabiz | February 14th 23 | Some nice standout moments, but not enough clean vocals, and generally not enough melody, cuz riffs are not too crazy
