Tell me its not over

The arrangements and accompaniments are rich by the piano, the bass line is powerful and the song is very bright with that touch of Keane or even Coldplay, but its kind of weird because the lyrics. Its sounds optimistic even explaining that situation. Its too short. Good.

Boy in waiting

Song with nice lyrics, soft and nostalgic, but its sound is absent of charisma, the guitar is the main protagonist and the other accompanying instruments only highlight the voice of Walsh. I begin to think that it is a solo album.

The Thames

This song is the first that stands out, is exactly what you want to hear from a new album with different sounds, feelings and nevertheless a resemblance to their first album, and a remebering to the fundamental elements of each member of the band. The effect of the bass, the rhythm, the metric, the color of the voice of Walsh and the guitars in western mode and the vocal choirs so particular. It is even kind of a danceable song.

All the plans

The sentimental power of the organ of the band and a typical ballad of a soloist with pretty lyrics. Impersonal and even repetitive. The beautiful harmonica of the end is outstanding , but not enough to let it shine.

Neon Sky

The technical production in drums, the sweet and atmoferic melody of the keyboard, the slow rhythm of the bass, the echo of the voice, an angelic and melancholy feeling among choristers as if it were a journey and for the otherside the beauty of the guitar is indisputable and steals all the protagonism. Beautiful song, the best so far.

You Never Get What You Deserve

Back to Walsh service, but in this case working perfectly. A ballad focused on the acoustic guitar. The sustained notes of the organ, and the empathy of the letters. However, the album goes away and does not have sounds that are foreign to the traditional. Deep Lyrics.

Hurts Too Much

A memory of its first sounds, a battery with an effect, and a melody that penetrates with the voice of Walsh. Pain and feeling. The accompanying notes of piano in time and scale reinforce the acoustic guitar and then the electric guitar with that precious loop. It hurts to let love go.

Star and stripes

Starsailor had problems in making the choirs, because are not better than the verses. It is an interesting melody but it does not manage to captivate, however the sound and the production in blues improves when Walsh is not singing. Its a confusing sound: country, folk, rock. Some parts are brilliant, some others are boring.

Change my mind

Maybe its a song that not belong to my own tastes, but can work live if you have some interest in Walsh playing the piano. Very soft, delicate. Increasing by a guitar solo that takes at last an excellent role.

Listen up

Perhaps the rebellion feel added to the strength of the rock rhythm and the voice of Walsh produce an interesting change of front and is a source of power of the band. Sensational song. Perhaps the best of the album, rock, structured and powerful, between the effects of guitar and guitar. Punch. Again there is a memory of Muse. But, But can be repetitive.

Safe at home

Melancholy in the closing, a poem sung between the sadness and the exit of solo album of Walsh that has 2 or even 3 highlights songs. no more. Its a softier album, with songs far away from rock and diversity of sounds. 2.8 is the perfect rate.
