3.5 great | Assemblage | July 24th 20 | This is a tricky one, cause on one hand there isn't much like it, but on the other there's parts that are incredibly homologous. There's a sleepy overture type nature that is throughout all the songs aside from maybe Deathgazer, which is certainly fitting of the album's title, and really I haven't heard any osdm which places the slow creepy segments so frequently and abrupt amid the songs, that is interesting, but also drops you off and kinda leaves you nowhere at times. There's collectively about 4.5 minutes before you're really introduced to vocals on the album, at 1 minute and 30 seconds into the second song, and the album pretty much continues in that vein. Vocalist kicks back like Schuldiner at times, and has some really good tones in Cauliflower Growth, and I'd say the strongest parts of the album lie in the middle, from Deathgazer (track 3) to the aforementioned Cauliflower Growth (track 6). All in all, it definitely has the likes of 4rmaterial, but only through repeated enough listens will I be able to weigh in on that, so for now it's going to be kept at a comfortable 3.5. It is pretty cool though.r

3.0 good | BenCee | September 4th 20 | Good, but not great psychedelic old-school death metal. While there are certainly some kickass moments, the album is highly inconsistent and many of the slower, creepier parts are simply boring.
