Dead Congregation- Purifying Consecrated Ground Review

That sub-brief moment in life where you have heard way lot of death metal and you have known the vastness that the genre can provide but then comes this side of death metal that puts you in a fix or thought process where the hell was this before the density that this artist adds to the genre the dept and darkness edge the feel of a dark wave being hit in and out
Dead Congregation is a band formed in 2004 in Athens, Greece this was their debut album they have had a wide fan following as their live gigs are the place to be, they have this sense in their music that completely uplifts the spirit within. The resonance of the music is crazy.

The first song Vomitchrist was a small song but gives you the gist that you have a ride coming ahead that is going to take you someplace else the other part is the songs in this album swiftly change into the other that complete flowing is must for an experimental death metal bands the second song Lucid Curse is a 5.09min song which has this dense break down at the 2.00 min part that lashes the drumming taking you into a trance the double bass drumming with the demonic vocals and the lyrics is another aspect where the experimentation is shown there is a equal and killer lyrics supporting the crushing riffs of the song.

As the song slowly there is this dim effect in the song that makes you feel the song is over but then again the menacing riff hits back giving the last taste of the song diminishing into the third song Feasting Angelcunts another brutal lyrics song which just sets one back into the head banging mood. The solo of the song at the dot 1.57 which strikes horror in the brain the true disgust can be felt in the vocals of the song. Moving into the fourth song of the album Arguing an Eternal War which is of 6.20 min an intense start which is an divine feeling that it giving a tickle to the ear buds a beauty start this song has which completely set you in as the lyrics begin at 2.00 the song gives the feel of the general humans perspective and it’s twisted ways of making a point in reality. Nothing is ever said with a clean intention and this song focuses on it very well “ Doomed to wage an endless battle
A conflict fought but never settled” the eternal truth of human needs which is never ending the crushing part at 5.25 continuing to flow into the direct of death.

The last song Downward Spiral of Morbidity a precise song to end with a complete power pack album that provides the feel of an experimental Death metal vibe that throws you in and out head banging and thrashing things besides you or end up bruising yourself .

It was their first EP which was intensely successful leading them to make an full LP Graves of the Archangels the lyrics and music is pure Death Darkness Destruction based...

Enjoy
death metal heads this your album to go crazy to
