I like the heavier recording on this LP which I think is an improvement to how mild the guitars sounded on their previous record, but apart from the decent opener I just found a lot of the songwriting and vocals on here to be really lukewarm and forgettable, sometimes even bordering on annoying. It just sounds like very watered-down Riot Grrrl stuff to me, in the same universe as groups like L7 or Sleater-Kinney but not nearly as well written or performed. This is a problem I consistently have every time I go into a ShitKid record, and this third LP is not an exception in the slightest unfortunately. What makes this record even more of a tedious listen is that the band finds the need to take what little english material they had and rerecord it again in swedish, which, if you're not already really into the first half, will definitely test your patience. I'm sort of sitting around waiting for ShitKid to come through with a record that really grabs me or at least entertains me enough, but I think their on-stage antics still overshadow their songwriting by a mile.
