4.0 excellent | BADNEW | April 17th 20 | This sounds more like a Jim Ward solo project, instead of a Sparta album, which is ok with me. It's more mellow, mature, and personal. I enjoyed the following tracks: Class Blue, Cat Scream, Turquoise Dream, Spirit Away, Miracle, Empty Houses

2.5 average | StrizzMatik | April 14th 20 | Pretty blah, not altogether unsurprising considering it's just Jim Ward and none of the rest of ATDI, who were fundamental in creating the Sparta sound. Probably should've just stayed doing ATDI as Ward's contributions would've probably helped the quality and precluded any need for this uninspired crap.

2.5 average | ajcollins15 | April 13th 20 | The four full-length album from the four-piece Texas band is several steps back from what they used to be like. Originally this band was one of the envelope pushers when it came to the new wave of post-hardcore bands coming up in the early 00s. However, what we get here sounds like an old band dropping all their aggression for an alternative rock sound that hasn?t been popular since Bush was in the white house. I will say the record is a treasure trove of some of the better sound highlights of alternative rock from New Order, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, and other bands like them. In general, the first half of the record is a decent showing of some older style alternative rock, the second half is a lost cause though.
