4.0 excellent | Deadwing2112 | January 20th 20 | There is a much appreciative duality towards MMXX provided by Sons of Apollo. This record encompasses modern progressive metal with old school hard rock sensibilities. The musicianship is peerless. And the vocals provide actual substance instead of bland derivative cliches.

3.5 great | Chino smoking it up! | January 22nd 20 | There's something really cool on this hard rock outfit mixed with super group prog wanking. Really
dig the piano added on King of Delusion and the ending 15 minute track is sure another highlight.

3.0 good | GamamJ | April 27th 20 | I thought this one was a step-down from the first, focusing more on songwriting and mellower songs than the first. Still some exquisite moments especially towards the end like the last 15 minute track, but overall weaker than their first.

2.5 average | unchange | January 24th 20 | Musically impressive, particularly the guitar work. I just don't think Jeff Scott Soto was an appropriate choice for the band. I like his voice but he has almost no subtlety, it's all just full on all the time, which is just essential for an effective prog band.
