This feels like the natural progression of what some of the better artists in the 90's/early 2000's christian music scene were doing. Deusen definitely has his influences, but they only seem to accelerate his vision here, not compromise it.

When people ask where I want to see Christian music go in the next ten years I'll point to this. I don't think the importance of this album for Christian music has been fully understood just yet.
