Could never listen to the original due to the diabolical production quality and s*** vocals (imo), the re-recording makes this is a very powerful modern thrash album, just how I like it.

Why Gary Holt why?. This sounds more like a metalcore tribute to bonded by blood than a re-recording

Nothing beats the original, almost always a fact, but I really like how these classic songs sound here. The modern production of this album put Bonded by Blood, Exodus, A Lesson in Violence, Piranha or Strike of the Beast on extreme higher grounds. And yes, I really like Rob Dukes's performance.

Realisticly, a remastered version would have acomplished the same thing (as far as praise and criticism goes), but it was really cool to here how the music really sounds. On the original, riffs couldn't be made out to 100% accuracy and the drums (kick drum atleast) was nearly inaudible.

I though it was pretty good. The guitar and drums are better. I mean you can't really say its bad if you like the original, the riffs don't change, and the recording is obviously better. They just downtuned their guitars a little since the but only to drop D. I like the guitar that way, but I guess it's just a matter of preference with the vocals. I think Dukes is the best singer they have had, the other ones just kinda sounded girly to me, but it's only opinion. They were never a vocally centered band.

Another Lesson In Violence is far better, and I wish some of these songs weren't slower in tempo, but Rob's vocals are pretty decent here.

I give it a 3/5 because I love the original. But I don't understand why Exodus couldn't just release a re-mastered version of the original instead of re-recording it altogether.
