Review Summary: hard

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Indeed, the sacred words of thrash are uttered right from the very beginning, ah yes this album is special, quite. Not many albums begin in such a way, such unrelenting passion is rarely seen nowadays, but this was ***ing 1988 when metal ruled the world, back here no one cared about *** such as getting a job or brushing your teeth, it was all about having a good time because after all, tis folly to be wise. If the opening shriek didnt convince you, surely the following riff will, or the gay little laugh. The intro riff is rather mid tempo and sounds a lot like their earlier material, it makes you believe that this is just another Razor album, but do not be fooled. Its not till 48 seconds in that the song explodes into a thrash *** fest of complete and utter devastation. But this opening instrumental is just a sign of things to come, as soon as the second track Hypertension begins the thrash flows inside. The opening riff is surely one of the best in the genre, if not music in general. It really is hard to explain the true amount of passion on this record, if the riffs dont show it than the vocals sure as *** do. The production just adds to the perfection, striking the perfect balance between rawness and clarity, and while fade wouldnt dig it, it should please the lesser elites. The guitars are razor sharp, surely having one of the best tones on any thrash album. Like many thrash albums the bass is pretty much inaudible, which sucks dick but were used to it so *** it. The drums are insane, for the time this was some of the fastest thrash out there, and while their were already very high tempo albums in the genre such as Pleasure to Kill, the drumming was no where near as tight as on this bitch. The album pretty much follows the same path throughout providing a ***ing hard and unrelenting journey into satans batty. Usually thrash albums have at least one slower song to either add variety or to get a paycheck, but literally every song is as fast as the other, there arent many other albums that do that *** and you gotta hand it to these boys, they didnt give a ***. Speaking of ***, vocalist SHEEPDOG clearly doesnt give one, as his vocals are unique and awe inspiring, he shrieks louder than a cuming banshee, it is such a shame that this was the last album he performed on, rip.

Violent Restitution is one of the best thrash albums released, and is tied for the bands best along with Evil Invaders. While some may find the constant tempo and lack of variety monotonous, people with dicks will find it highly arousing, i mean this will make even a metallica kids blood flow with metal. Its pretty crazy to think this came out just a year after the rather traditional sounding Custom Killing, i guess sheepdog wanted to go out with a bang, and he banged hard. Oh and the chainsaw samples are ***ing badass.

Maybe it's the production, but this one doesn't do it for me like a lot of other underground thrash classics. Still an enjoyable album.
