Review Summary: darkness entrenches my being and i become whole
Since its inception in 2016, Nihil Invocation has proven to be yet another project that's completely submitted itself to the spirit of one-man black metal; garbed in mystery, inhumanly prolific, and unapologetically raw, while we're at our 9-5 jobs slowly withering away, Nihil Invocation's sole entity Deathwalker toils in the underground, conjuring esoteric blackened hymns in a gnarled and warped cauldron. His most recent product, a sour elixir entitled Further
The Depths of Lucid Madness, is a libation of nasty and pungent black metal. At times this poison may hint at sweetness with its melodious flourishes, but no amount of harmony can wash away the taste of its foundation, a base of decaying, bitter herbs. As with most underground black metal, only a few will be able to truly enjoy its wretched sapor, but those who do will certainly savor it's rotten flavor for days to come.
