Here we see the Dead Kennedys take their trademark surf punk sound (first prodded at in Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables and hinted at more fully in tracks like Moon over Marin from Plastic Surgery Disasters) to its extremes. Long songs filled with chunky fun riffs and the occasional punk thrasher. Jello Biafra is in full effect here with his standard satirical, cynical lyrics, especially on Stars and Stripes of Corruption.
