With over 50 songs at the disposal to the listener Tim and Eric use a cunning amount of intellect and industry savvy smarts in creating one of the best albums of the year. With debonair lyrics and subtle experimental qualities the duo uses their insurmountable talents to a great height. Amazingly well done album art also adds to a visual experience like no other. I'd put it up there with "OK Computer", "Abby Road", "Dark Side of The Moon", and "Blackwater Park".

A surreal, draining experience, a dada blend of stupidity, brilliance, sorrow and madness crafted by everyone's favorite idiosyncratic late night comedy collective. The album is a feverish, unhinged masterpiece, combining Tim and Eric's eccentricities effectively with Davin Wood's talent for composition. Not likely to change any opinions of the duo, it is very much an "in joke" that requires at least a cursory knowledge of the series to be truly effective. Some would scoff at such a prerequisite for listening, but to hell with them! Amirite? Highlights include guest spots by the Shins, Aimee Mann and Built to Spill.

Awesome Record, Great Songs is the most fun album you will ever listen to. You will be taken through a magical journey of over an hour of stupidity and awesomeness. This is a must have album for everybody regardless of musical taste.

This album is clearly a 4 or higher, so experimental. Plus the lyrics are like nothing before it, truly original. I'd give it 3 sodies and 4 large baskets of popcorn buttered by no one other than butterboy himself. Greatjob!
