3.8 excellent | Atari STAFF | July 26th 18 | How the hell did MxPx make it this far into their career without releasing a self-titled album? Funded by fans, this is easily some of the band's strongest material since "Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo." Their albums are often plagued by filler, but here the band completely shred their way through 30 minutes of nostalgic punk rock with few missteps. A solid return to form, to say the least - they've rarely sounded this sharp or full of adrenaline.

3.5 great | punkrockcowboy | August 14th 18 | The front half of the album is better than the second half, but all the songs are good. I would agree with the previous review that says this album lacks typical MxPx "filler." Part of that is probably because the band kept this recording lean - the entire thing is only about 30 minutes. Mike's vocals are great. I was a little disappointed in the guitar and bass mixing as they kind of blend together. Supposedly Tom's guitar (Les Paul) can be heard panned 100% to one side and the new guitarist (Telecaster) can be heard panned 100% to the other side. I couldn't really tell much of a difference to be honest. But, that's just a minor complaint.rThe band said this was supposed to have more of a live feel to it. It certainly feels that way.
