Great symphonic black metal which is directly influenced by Bal-Sagoth but features solid songwriting in order not to be considered a cheap imitation. The use of synths is heavy but the guitars are also high in the mix which helps the music retain its aggressiveness. Lastly, this is the first installment of a five-chapter symphonic metal saga of tales of a darkly mystical fantasy realm.
