Are some of you guys serious ? Yes this is dirty and ugly but saying that Necro can't write lyrics is just absurd... Necro sounds as brutal and violent as he sounded in my twenties, I'm thrirty now.

Hahaha, Gory Days is so underrated only because people think rapping about murder and sex is the direction Hip Hop DOESN'T need to go, people want hip hop to have a good name, they want it to be respectable...something you can take home to your mom and say "look! I'm classy!" Truth is there is room for both types of hip hop, and hip hop needs both. Brutality shit like this actually serves a purpose.....What hip hop album do you throw on when your pissed off and want to get your rage out? Are you going to throw on some Aesop Rock or Cunninlynguists? No...you are going to throw on some Necro because that shit matches the requirements of your mood. Aesop and Lynguists serve their purpose as well, but when you want to punch somebody in the face, you go to shit like this, and believe me, Necro is the one that is going to deliver you the BEST of the dark side of hip hop.

This guy can make some excellent beats and put together some good rhyme schemes, but his lyrics are an awkward hodge podge of lines that jump all over the place in subject matter and go from talking about dead homeless people to grasshoppers 'in a lab' the next bar. so many "lolwut" moments make this a weird listen.

Basically one of the reasons why the underground shouldn't be hailed as high as it should be. This guy is a bad lyricist and rapper in general. His beats are killer, but it's sort of like listening to Cappadonna's debut, the beats are the only thing worth listening to. +0.5 for Necro producing this himself.

This guy is an excellent writer, but some of the tracks could be better. "Poetry in the Streets" has to be one of the best rap songs.
