I'm also mad because you guys are talking literal shit about BSC just to piss me off and you are all showing me no facts on how the music is bad. Now look: it's easy to understand that Osaka-based metal ensemble Blood Stain Child didn't quite start off on the right foot, though it was Idolator where they finally managed to carve a name for themselves. Their ability to infuse trance sounds with a strong melodeath undercurrent was not only admirable, but also fun as all get out, so to hear the band water down their formula considerably after bass player/harsh vocalist Ryo and singer Kiki's departures is... disheartening. The BSC I'm listening to during Tri Odyssey are a shell of their former selves. At best this EP's a tired rehash of the Mozaiq record, though at its worst, the release (plus Nexus before it) proves that the brand is a little vehicle for Ryu Kuriyama's interests these days. When I'm not pulling a resting bitch face over the unremarkable dichotomy between Saika's clean and harsh vocal techniques, I break out in hives regarding Tri Odyssey's slapdash production quality plus the group's incompetence when it comes down to flexing dem songwriting muscles. If one ever wishes to know what the deal with these folks are, I'll either rec the "Last Stardust" single, Epsilon in a heartbeat, or that album's two predecessors over these 4 songs any day because BSC's most recent EP is not a good introduction to them in the slightest.

Blood Stain Child are back in business and this
time they mean it. The guitar riffs and solos
sound amazing while the electronic melodies
highlight each song beautifully. Saika's vocals
are solid here and there but really need to be
worked on.

The title track and Oke@Nos are great. The other two tracks are bland and saturated in crappy sound production.

Saika sounds more upbeat than Sophia and his style
is presented in a better fashion that suits the
band perfectly. His screams are louder and wider
ranged than Ryos. His clean vocals mixed with auto
tune sound great so I don't understand the idiotic
hatred towards this EP because BSC sound more
passionate than before. Excellent EP with creative
electronic synths and killer guitar riffs!

tracks tri odyssey and oke@nos. My fingers are

this band's descent from being among the best in the business of blending catchy modern metal with electronics into complete mediocrity is one of the biggest disappointments in music for me. Epsilon was such a fun and well-executed album, but this just continues the trend of eschewing the focus and songwriting present there in favor of being a complete clusterfuck of sounds. it's not as bad as Nexus, at least.
