First is a collaboration between composer Ryan Lott (Son Lux) and chamber
musicians yMusic. On it they present classical music in a rock format: 11 tracks, 40
minutes, Side A/Side B. If you've ever wondered what an electronic Son Lux album might
sound like played on acoustic instruments (violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinets and
trumpet), here's your chance to find out. Be warned: this may be presented in a rock
format but it does not have the immediacy of the genre--it's a grower.
