As the band name and album cover suggest, Blazon Stone are directly and hugely influenced by Running Wild. This means that they play speed/power metal with emphasis on melodic galloping riffs and even though listening to War of the Roses feels like a deja vu of some sort, it doesn't take away from the fact that it's a very enjoyable experience. The songwriting is interesting with plenty of hooks and catchy melodies, while the highlight of the album is undeniably its infectious riffs. Nevertheless, if you cannot stand the fact that these guys are in essence Running Wild copycats, this album might not be for you.
