Review Summary: Wecamewithbrokenteeth is a cybergrind band from Overland Park, Kansas

Armed with the worst lyrics I've ever heard. But hey they're consistent, on taking a *** on music and all that is good. Wecamewithbroken bring an odd and sloppy style of cybergrind/deathcore to the mix. This may sound interesting to some, though I doubt it does to most. Stay away from this album at all cost, as well as all of wecamewithbrokenteeth's other "classic" records.

Wecamewithbroken bring some originality to the table in the first few seconds of this record, they play very simplistic music, so simplistic it's unlike most anything I've ever heard. In reality though, when this all sinks in it is just a drum machine going at the speed of light, and nonstop chugging of guitars.

The vocals can be okay for very short periods of time. They consist of high shrieks, and low gutturals, along with some pig squeals peppered in here and there. This would be great if they didn't sound so strained and distorted. The growls literally overpower whatever this was recorded on and it comes out sounding like someone grunted while dropping a big steamy pile.

Don't get me wrong though through all the *** they do have a few entertaining aspects. Though the bad production doesn't help the record's overall sound the guitar tone comes out really cool, this is mostly noticable when the play on the higher strings...which isn't often, but still cool. For instance the opening riff in "Fork your Eyes" is very catchy, and actually not chugged, also "Faith...Nonesence" has a decent riff as well. Sometimes the vocals can be entertaining, just the screams though, those growls are atrocious. The sampling can also make this a fun listen. In the lyrical section the band suffers majorly, take "Love of My Life" for example.

Quote:
Lyrics to Love Of My Life :
Love of my life!
love of my life!
love of my life!
love of my life!

love of my,
love of my,
life!
life!

love of my life!
love of my life!
love of my life!
love of my life!

a thousand years!
you have been!
the love of my life!

of my life..
Not exactly the most groundbreaking in the world.

Another thing that takes away from the experience while listening to wecamewithbrokenteeth is the production. I'm not sure how this was recorded but the sound goes from extremely loud to really quite. Not just with a single instrument, everything gets so quite it's nearly impossible to hear. The vocalist also pulls away from the mic midscream and pulls it back, this is one of the most annoying things you could do as a vocalist.

The bottom line is wecamewithbrokenteeth definitly did something different, they just never, well, did it good. Through all the bad thing though there are a few moments throughout "Sweet.Sweet.Rock" that have some value, but these moments don't pop up enough to even make this an average record. This gets a 1.5 out of 5, don't check this out unless you absolutely have to.

This is bad lol. The review is so short because the album is only 11 minutes, due to the lack of music this comes off as a rant.

I've communicated with the guys in this band before, they're really nice people. Love the same type of music I do too, I never said to their face that their music sucks...but really, its pretty damn bad. This band was supposedly a joke, yet scene kids jumped on the bandwagon "GRINDCORE!!! SO HXC!!" It's actually the reason why they disbanded for that short time.

I once showed a br00tal kid Nasum.

He liked it.

Now, I see him with a suicide Silence hoodie and a nasum arm band.

It pisses me off.
