For me, this makes me wonder what would have happened if Joel had had his band and Phil Ramone in the studio for his first 4 albums. I think Turnstiles might have been his breakthrough album instead of The Stranger. From the first cut to the last, this album is strong. An underrated classic. I'd love to see an expanded version of this released in the near future.

Actually the first Billy Joel record I ever got. As someone who generally doesn't like live records, the fact that I span this so much and it led me to so much more of his stuff is a real testament to the strength of the performance.
