Review Summary: A big surprise
As someone who had never really gotten into all this "Spodermen" stuff, I was sceptic when I saw that the creators had chosen to make a mixtape out with the character, and his rather annoying voice. So I wasn't really expecting much, but oh god.
This album hit me at first listen, it had a thick atmosphere and overall feel that I just couldn't resist. When you really get into the way they mastered Spodersmens voice, you begin this realize this is not just a comedy album; its a piece of art, something to be celebrated. Production wise the mastermind behind this album really hit a high level, the audio is crystal clear on songs like "Spodermen Theme Song", but really low and muddy on songs like "K", because it really suits the song. It's really impressive considering the low budget. I would also like to point out a song like "True Love", with really outstanding feel and lyrics, and especially because it has one of the best production the whole album.
Okay, let me talk more about the tracks. The album kicks out with a blast, Spodermens Theme Song. This song has a incredible backing track, and Spoder really delivers vocal wise. The lyrics are not really the most outstanding, but the backing track and lyrics more than make up for this small flaw. The track then transitions into "The Itsy Bitsy Spoder", with some really outstanding piano playing, and with more lyrical depth than the prior song. We then move on to "K", a short but good lo-fi song. We then move on to "Spoder Style", an upbeat and happy pop-style song with a really nice synth and a nice 4-to-the-floor beat. Really nice work. We then move into one of the rare love songs, "True Love", which lyrics is about the struggle of love, and sexual frustration. Its a really good perfomance by Spodermen vocal wise. I will skip a few songs here, and move on to "Spodemon", which I mean is a real new level in modern hip-hop, with a real killer beat and godlike production and lyrical flow. Holy ***. We then move on to "No Sweg", a really intelligent song about people who think they are someting they're not. It really fits in well with the current worldwide social media situation, and really makes you think about how people talk to each other. Wow.
I dont wanna spoil more of the album, because in all honesty, its something you must experience for yourself. I assure you that you wil have a great time listening to this masterpiece. K bye.
