Landmark fusion of jazz and hip hop still holds up today.

Not as bad as you'd think, but not so good either. Funk, Jazz, and Hippity-Hoppity fusion that
some may find refreshing or overbearing. Personally, it's cool that Miles Davis wanted to do
something he hasn't done before. Mile's even had Easy Mo Bee produce it! Worth checking out

On the Corner was Miles' attempt at reconnecting with the youth by the time Jazz had gone outta fashion and Funk and Rock were big. I could see Doo Bop having a similar concept and purpose, just with hip-hop, instead. Sadly, whereas On the Corner was a success, Doo Bop is only an average release.

interesting fusion, sounds quite fresh after all these years; not that bad though miles'
final recordings are pretty mediocre and this album is not an exception.

Not his best album, but certainly an underrated gem of the 90s. The hip hop jazz thing is produced BRILLIANTLY. Check this shit out.

Oh dear... Miles starts his one year acid jazz binge and does just that: trippy, hip hop smeared jazz that makes Miles lose a sense of who he once was. While this is interesting to see Miles do something absolutely different than anything he's done before, its difficult to call this anything other than trash.
