Carpathian Forest is a band that doesn't tolerate bull***. Nattefrost and company give you black metal how it should be. Hateful, Satanic and fun as hell!
*** You All!!!! is the 5th (and unfortunately most recent) album from these Norwegian Satanic sex lords and they bring a bit of a different element to this one. There is a HUGE punk rock influence that can be heard on pretty much every part of the album. The riffs are very obviously still rooted in black metal with the tremz and all, but there's a certain groove to them that is most certainly punky in nature.
The overall attitude of the is rooted in punk music as well. I mean, look at the album title. Carpathian Forest hate you, they hate me, they hate the man, they hate everyone and don't mind letting you know about it.
Nattefrost has always been one of my favorite vocalists in black metal. Yeah, the guy is kind of a weirdo, but that's the case with most black metal bands. Nattefrost's high pitched shrieks from hell have always been full of hate and vitriol. This album continues that trend.
Carpathian Forest has never reinvented the wheel. They're not the best songwriters in black metal nor do they pretend to be. What they do best is blast you right in the cock sucker with catchy, fun riffs and basically just throw a Satanic orgy in their own honor. And you know what??? It ***ing works.
