Review Summary: A hair metal album with enough cheese to make it fun.

Diving into Britny Fox’s debut album, it would be easy to pass them off as another 80’s hair metal band akin to Poison or Motley Crue. It would be easy because they are just another 80’s hair metal band akin to Poison or Motley Crue. However, this can be both a good thing and a bad thing. Yes, this album has some hard riffs that swell into guitar solos, cheesy lyrics, and an over the top performance. The alum has its slower buildup songs (Fun In Texas, Don’t hide) its’ power ballad (Save the Weak) and songs that dive right into having fun (the rest of the album). There isn’t much Britny Fox do differently but what they do, they do well enough for the album to be a fun listen.

When I said it can be a good or a bad thing, it depends on how you feel about the tropes of the genre. The vocalist sounds like an 80 year old woman who escaped from the Alzheimer’s ward and wanted to live her last days singing (screeching rather) against hard rock riffs. The band also has another singer, but he’s just a bit too plain sounding to get any reaction. The lyrics are plain cheese, standard fare words of fighting for LOVE. As the album went on I almost found it endearing, for as horrible as the vocalist sounds he gives it his all. Instrumentally, the guitarists are rather standard fare, providing some fun solos toward the end of each song. After getting into the rhythm I was actually bobbing my head to the beat. The best thing said about Britny Fox is at least they have the passion for what they play and have fun with it all. In turn, you can’t help having fun yourself.

Judging by the cover it's hard to gauge because it looks like they all get called britney often and they're sick of it.

A fun hair metal album with enough cheese to make it fun."
Sounds a bit redundant; I wouldn't put the word "fun" in the summary twice.

You should also elaborate more about certain songs and moments, as those would make the review much stronger. Funny write-up, though!

Thanks judio. I honestly didn't have much to say about it but I tried being nice to it. I won't ever listen to it again though.
