Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez's (brother of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta fame) solo debut runder the moniker Eureka the Butcher is a fantastic exhibition of raw, psychedelic and rexperimental electronic mash-ups. Haunting decors, ornamented with alternative instrument rtimbres, muscled and layered beats, all mauled and mangled beyond recognition and reanimated rinto a borg-like construction that is both formidable and daunting yet doesn't exclude with rits asymmetry. Its strangeness is soothing, and invites anyone willing to groove with it.
