Heavy, but catchy. Fast, yet accessible. Brutal, but still fun.
Extreme metal bands often give up one of these things thing for another. A
band might write a really brutal song that isn't at all memorable, or a catchy
song with boring riffs. But these guys have managed to put everything you need to
make a fun metal record together perfectly. It may only be 3 tracks, but those 3 tracks are
fantastic, and each is as memorable as the last. The lyrics are fairly good too, a mix of serious and silly,
plus the cover is fantastic. What more could you ask for?
EDIT: An updated version of the EP has been released, which has an extra track- a
dubstep remix of 'We Fear Silence'. It's not as bad as it sounds actually- I like the way the guitars
and vocals are properly mixed with the dubstep elements instead of just being thoughtlessly
mashed together. It's still weakest track here, but it's a cool addition I guess.
