Arthur's departure is noticeable, as everyone expected, but rest assured, that's not a bad
thing! Marcus' harsh vocals are stronger (eventhough his bass playing normally isn't as busy
as Arthur's), and fit perfectly with the darker sound they've gone with on this album. Don't
expect another Metazoa or Dwellings, Earth Diver is a different beast. Less folk elements
and a more agressive sound overall, with a stronger performance than before from all
members, more dissonance... but still unmistakably Cormorant. Everything you loved about
them is still present here, but they're not afraid to experiment (and I'm glad they're not),
and once again they've delivered the goods!

Just realized this band broke up  Listening to this in 2021 for the first time since maybe 2015 and it still rules excet now I appreciate more thn I did back when it came out

This album kicks ass! Easily one of the best release so far this year, Mastodon is the only one that definitely eclipses it. Upon listening to Cormorant's previous albums, this one sounds quite different. That's not necessarily bad though, because it is still outstanding.
