Review Summary: My review of Rise of the Hero based on one visit on a Friday morning.
There are many cheeses in the world. Some are weak, some are potent, and all are cheesy. Rise of the Hero has average, yet potent cheese: spicy cheddar served in a delicious burger with chunky meat. The waiter of the restaurant is very manly, you can almost feel his biceps surging as he asks you for your order. Him with his rough, Blind Guardian-esque voice is the perfect accompaniment to the rough (and quite manly) greasy burger.
Served with the burger is a side dish of noodles, these noodles are somewhat weak in flavour but get the job done. However, the portion is much too small and it brings down the experience. Their texture, however, is wonderful and it’s presented in a stunning array. Unfortunately, the noodles are a little on the bland side and much too ordinary. After I am done eating I’m left feeling a little unsatisfied.
It’s not fine dining, but it’s a decent restaurant for the price. I might return to this restaurant on occasion, but in truth, there is not much beyond the norm on offer. Still, the waiter was quite passionate and it made the experience enjoyable. He also babbled on and on about some ridiculous fictional story the entire time which was strange but entertaining. Not bad for the price, a solid, ordinary meal, and the waiter was great. As a matter of fact, the waiter was quite charismatic with authority and a fetching voice. This restaurant is not the best the town has to offer, but I would recommend the joint for a visit at least. It’s a regular restaurant experience but done quite well, and is a great family trip.
