Vocal-driven symphonic metal, even though I'm not so sure I can even call this metal. Nevertheless, this is not the major flaw of the album simply because of the over the top, incredibly dramatic/whiny vocal performances which is exactly what you do not expect from a vocal-driven album. Even the keyboard and guitar solos on "To the Edge of the World" are pretty poor and are performed by Derek Sherinian and Timo Tolkki respectively. Timo Tolkki can do so much better than this.
