Currently my favorite Proem album - though I still have to check out much of Richard Bailey's other work, but from what I've heard thus far, Among Others is top dog. That's not to say Socially Inept isn't great; it is. But Among Others carries a sad, contemplative atmosphere that wasn't present on its 2004 follow up. As with that release, Bailey's influences are obvious, but his placement of these sounds are profound and very affecting. I look forward to diving further into his work.
