Aurora Borealis is, at its core, dreadfully conflicted. Sporting a few tracks of excellence and a few of a disastrous lack of focus, the most memorable moments come from the features. Sithu Aye does incredibly well, as expected, and Gru makes the second half of the album something incredible. Unfortunately, though, there are too many missteps for this release to be more than what it is - an ode to what's next.
