“Into The Void” is THE Riff.
There is no equal.
The song is THE showcase for Iommi’s Premiere League riffage, and the final two minutes of this song are incredible.

I've come to accept that I'll never like the rest of Sabbath like I do this one. Yeah, Paranoid's a classic, but the later, lighter iterations of Sabbath don't do much for me.
What I'm saying is that weed is the choice era for Sabbath, not cocaine.

Anyway nothing touches the first two. The further these cats got from swinging their triplets the less interested I get.

The closest they came to touching paranoid was Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. This is a step down.

Why would you choose an album with covers over an album with original music?

Rockists’ obsession with “original material” perplexes me so much. Interpretation is a lost art, imho. Jazz, soul, blues and folk all have rich traditions of playing standards and covers and I love hearing sabbath tap into that.

Butkuiss is really gonna celebrate new year like this well ok may you find joy in other places.

Whilst not my favourite Sabbath album the sheer consistency of this record is sublime, even the ballad 'solitude' gets me going
