Doppelganger is like half of this album, except the only remake that's better than the original is FCPREMIX. The other 6 songs come nowhere near the quality of the album, except for possibly The Hol[ ]y Tape and Laces Out, Dan!
This pretty much has 5 of the band's best 6 or 7 songs.
The Circus is their best song.
And the brodown 2 minutes into Mastodon (the part after and including the female "tweets") makes me fist pump like a fuckin champ.

The first half of Mouths on Doppelganger is better than the version here but the jam at the end is so much lamer than the one here. There's that awesome guitar at the end on the version on the self-titled but on Doppelganger there's a fucking gay synthesized flute in its place.

No way dude, I liked the Doppelganger vox too, but when he screams on this you can FEEL it. The production is kinda shitty but they brought it way harder for this than they ever did after.

To each his own I guess. The Doppelganger screams just sound watered down for me compared to this. I used to think they sounded bad too, but the more shitty albums they put out, the more this started to shine for me.

Seriously. I love his screaming, I wish he didn't sing so much. Especially on Manipulator and ITEU. ITEU would be far less awful if he would grow some balls and scream like he used to.

Seen them like 5 times, so I made the decision that I didn't need to see them on their last tour, but I should have gone. My friends who went ended up hanging out with them a lot. Andrew trained my friend's pokemon and Thom stole my other friends Tera Melos t-shirt.
