While In The Halls is amazing, its the weaker album imo, I prefer Since the Day and Above the Weeping World.

I can't speak to that as I haven't heard In the Halls, but this album just stupefies me. I might give this a 5 eventually, it's just the best melo-death I've ever heard, and I love melo-death. Last Statement makes me want to cry at how fucking good that song is.

Since the Day It All Came Down is a better album than this imo. It's overwhelmingly good.

That album starts off even stronger than this one, but imo, aside from Death Walked the Earth, everything after Bereavement sounds kind of...blah.

lol I'm sorry dude, blah really isn't the right word, there isn't anything blah about these guys, I just felt like the first half of Since the Day was way stronger than the second half, whereas this album stays consistently sweet throughout.

Case in point, Insomnium rocks the house no matter what they do. Still need In the Halls.

That album isn't that good. It's pretty much "The Jester Race 2: Revenge of the Acoustic Break".

I find this band nothing like In Flames.

The riffing in In the Halls of Awaiting is very In Flames-esque to me

^^^That's absolutely NOT a fact lol
It would take something far stronger than drugs to cause someone not hear the progression in Insomnium's sound. Sure they (the albums) sound similar, but so does Dark Tranquillity's last 3 albums, but they have a large amount very easily identifiable differences; same with these guys. This Message Edited On 04.13.08
