Jammed that earlier for the first time and wasn't as blown away by it as this. Still really good though, feel like it'll be a grower.

Ah okay. I prefer it over this by a long shot, but it's definitely a matter of taste since both are fine for what they are. Closer isn't as energetic as this which makes it harder to get into, but at the same time it feels more complete as an album which at the end of the day makes it more rewarding imo

theyre both pretty damn consistent to me but yeah they just have slightly different sound and tone
most days i slightly prefer this for the more raw energy it has, the punk influence is clearer, but say a song like the eternal is just gorgeous

More complete in a way that it feels like it has a beginning a middle and an ending, making it kinda feel like a concept album. Especially the way the feeling of the album evolves during the last three songs feels very coherent to me. This feels more like a collection of songs imo.
