This is Easily their best album, their a band who excel at making short catchy but punchy songs and this album is the best example of that, although i haven't heard the Hunting Party

and papercut, crawling, in the end, with you and of course cure for the itch, meteora is basically a more watered down and boring version of this imo. ive still given it a 3.5 because ive always loved these 2 albums

This is easily one of their worst albums. Meteora, Thousand Suns, and hunting party are by far their best

Well To me its got most of their catchiest choruses and most succinct songwritting not to mention it was pretty original at the time combining alt metal, rap metal and glitch/ trip hop

It's catchy, but to the point of annoyance. Plus the nu-metal/rap metal sound was incredibly dated, even upon release, preventing it from aging well at all. Abasically this album is just a dated rehash of the worst parts of limp bizkit with extra teenage angst thrown in for good measure. It wasn't until LP started to look beyond their genre and started to experiment with their sound did they create something truly great.

What are you smoking tho, this album has absolutely no glitch trip hop elements dude you're on something

Cure for the itch? Have you even listened to the album? And there are other moments when mr hahn goes to town with his turrntable. This really didnt sound like korn spineshank or anything that came before it not to me anyway, its far from being experimental but it did amalgamate several popular genres to great effect. I wouldnt call anything they did after this truly great or experimental either really.

Uh yeah I listened to it. I grew up with this album. Doesn't make it any less worse. I'll give you cure for the itch tho. Even though it was just instrumental turntable-centric hip hop. Nothing more, nothing less. it was the most insteresting and least dated thing in the album, and it's still a great jam from time to time.

The rest just gives me war flashbacks to when I was an angry emo 16 year old. Ugh *shudders*

I've always felt Meteora, instrumentally, was much more alive and spontaneous than this and Mike's verses aren't very good on this. His and Chester's interplay have way better chemistry on Meteora too; although the lyrics on Meteora or quite bad for the most part and the production is hideous.

I just can't put it into words. Something about that album just sounds SO fresh, even by today's standards and that's not an easy thing to do in electronic-ish music. Every remixed track keeps the same mood as the original, yet they are changed soooo much to enhance the sound even more.

With no shame, I can put Reanimation in my top 20 albums ever probably. Man, I was so heartbroken when MtM came out because I was expecting a Reanimation of Meteora instead. GOD how good would that have been fuck...

It is def fresh and way off the beaten path. But personally, im not a big enough fan of their music in the first place to give it that much praise. But Linkin Park does make some catchy and enjoyable songs.
