I love Downward Spiral, but it's the only NIN I got. Should I go with this, The Fragile, or With Teeth next?

TurnTheOtherWay, this album was my first NIN album, and im glad it was. I would still recommend The Fragile is you want a wide variety of NIN songs.

I heard that listening to this album after breaking up with a girlfriend makes it 10 times better.
I can see why people say that.

This was my second nin album (after the downward spiral). This album is in my opinion some of Reznor's best work (again after TDS). head like a hole and something i can never have show just how diverse his music can be.

I don't have this album but I like a fair amount of NIN's stuff. They performed this album in its entirety (or atleast most of it) when I saw them. Head Like a Hole is awesome!

This is an awesome album. "Head Like a Hole" and "Kinda I Want To" are industrial bliss. Awesome.

This album is average. I'm a Nine Inch Nails wanker, but this album is too dated and 80s for me. Outside of Head Like a Hole, PHM is dated.

I love Pretty Hate Machine, it's probably my favorite album just because it's really unique. I agree with Kaden, everyone of their albums sounds different, which I love. My favorite songs from Pretty Hate Machine would be Thats What I Get, Terrible Lie, Kinda I want To and Something I Can Never Have, It's so pretty =)

This is random and irrelevant, but I was just doing Maths and I read Sin as Sine. Good album. Haven't decided on a rating yet.

I have a very suspicious thing, listen to 4:03 to 4:06 of Ringfinger, and 0:02 to 0:05 of Had a Dad by Jane's Addiction, hear the exact same thing? very odd. Might I also remind you:
Jane's Addiction- Nothings Shocking: 1988
Nine Inch Nails- Pretty Hate Machine: 1989

So? The album is basically made out of samples.

Ok, I'm a complete NIN fanboy, own pretty much everything they've ever released, so of course I'm gonna over-rate this. Bits of it do sound really dated, but Something I Can Never Have is BEAUTIFUL. Not as good as the mighty 'Hurt', but then again, what is? This is possibly my least favourite NIN release, I really like Down In It though, but if you listen to this and don't like it, buy TDS anyway, and I guarantee you'll be a NIN fan in no time (3 listens to TDS did it for me). And good point Kage, this is pretty much all samples. This Message Edited On 07.20.08

I was really into this in junior high and high school, and upon giving it a few spins lately, I must say that it hasn't held up too well.
