Beg pardon, how can anyone hate ON Paradise City? The only thing that could make it better are Slash's original idea for lyrics; "take me down to the Paradise City where the girls are fat and they've got big titties".

Unlike Axl and his penchant for supermodels, Slash loves the curvy girls and he's not afraid to show it. Gotta respect that.

no point really it just amazes me when that guy is always lauded as a guitar playing great when he was so unoriginal

Everyone stands on the shoulders of giants. The guy can rock AND roll, why bother hating?

It's all based around the monumental moments. The solo outside the church, the hair, hat and fag.

What a load of codswallop.

That is not a valid reason, valid reasons for criticizing this band must be related to the music, and the 5 were pretty decent in that aspect

I'm not gonna lie, Slash ripping a solo in the church courtyard is THE reason I play guitar. I defy you to conjure up a cooler image of rock guitar. The guy may not have reinvented the instrument, but it's never looked better in anyone else's hands.

See I'm not sure about that Verm.

An autobiography can be a beautifully written thing tarnished by the words falling from the mouth of arseholes and making it unrelatable.

Sorry, zak. My last reply was to the autobiography comment. Hendrix is up there for sure. Townsend is a definite maybe.

mate - i'm too old, jaded and cynical to consider anything 'cool' apart from getting up in the morning and not feeling like shit
