Im surprised theres only one review for it and only 44 votes so far. This looks good so I'll go out and look for it.

Ive only heard the 3 songs they originally released, and im impressed. I should definitely pick this up. Are there any songs on here that would be good live?

Lately I haven't been able to get the likes of FTGGOG and The Legacy out of my head...

Also, am I the only one who thinks of Wasted Years when listening to Different Worlds?

lol, I find it funny that the new Iron Maiden album is titled the exact same as my band's name. I didn't even realize it till now. I hope no one thinks we ripped off Iron Maiden's CD name. :p

Hmm...this album is more like a 4.25 to be picky picky (ATTENTION: though it would be better if you could rate out of 10 i.e 8.5/10 for this album because 5 is just too small). Better than BNW and DoD slihtly but better than anything pre SSOASS (apart from Killers of course)...? Not really in my opinion. Pick of the bunch in my opinion are 'Longest Day', FTGGOG and Benjamin and it's a great riff they have on 'The Pilgrim' (I would have like to see more of such riffs), but overall not quite up to the old standard. However, it is nice to see them taking a slightly different direction by not going for the gallops and traditional heavy metal etc so we have a different variety of Maiden to choose from.

It is also interesting to note how the rating started off at about 4.8ish (and thus made the highest rated studio album) and has now drifted down to 4.5, making it below NOB, Powerslave, and level with Iron Maiden and BNW. I suspect it will drop slightly further and become level with SIT, SSOASS, Killers and POM

EDIT: I'll just post my top 5 because everyone else seems to be so here it is:

Somewhere In Time

Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son

Piece Of Mind

Iron Maiden

To be honest I'm not really digging this CD. So far nothing has really stood out to me except a few riffs here and there. Dance Of Death was way better than this, the riffs were great, and the choruses were huge. So far there hasn't been a single chorus I remember.
