Hmm, this has been mysteriously negged while I've gone for the weekend.

Anyways, I wouldn't have minded the delay as much if I was aware of it before I spent a couple hours looking for the damned album. This Message Edited On 09.03.06

i mean no disrespect....but ur review was although very informative....it was really boring...u didn't even rate the songs...you rambled on about too many details instead of getting to the point of the review..for example : no one cares if you though powerslave was a better album or not. no offense. This Message Edited On 09.04.06This Message Edited On 09.04.06

I think I mentioned Powerslave a grand total of two times, and I used it as a benchmark to rate AMOLAD.

Man, I can't believe I still haven't listened to this whole album yet. The songs I've head so far are good. It's no Powerslave of course, but good. :p

my thoughts exactly. Its a good album with some great moments, but to me it just doesn't live up to past efforts such as Number of the Beast or Powerslave.

I like the new direction that Iron Maiden has been heading recently although that i think that this is a tiny step down from Dance of Death.

No it isn't. This is a brilliant album and therefore needs such a rating.

2.5 is ridiculous

No, you're both just fanboys.

You don't have to be a fanboy to realize the brilliance behind this album

Ugh, liking a band and thinking their stuff is good does not make you a fanboy.

I'm getting this today. :D

I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but this album is very good. So far I'd say it rates just below (not by much) brave new world, but it's still an awesome album. I haven't watched the DVD yet.

Brighter Than A Thousand Suns is my favorite so far.

I haven't listened to Iron Maiden at all for some time now, but Your review got me into checking this new record out It is a very good album and in opinion the problem is as You stated - all the tracks are long while some of them didn't have to be this way; Some of my friends actually got bored and didn't listen through the entire cd

This is always great to hear.

Yeah, a lot of negativity I've been reading about this album seems to stem out of the song lengths.

Piece of Mind, The Number of The Beast...those two have are similar imo at least. Most songs are shorter on those than on this album, though.
