It's all opinion, sheesh. I can see why he'd quite like this, and dislike Protest. I'm on the fence with these guys. I like the release, I just havent listened to it enough to form a fair opinion on it.

Very good album. The pretty sections rule, and they actually sound different from the typical metalcore fare as of late. 4/5

I'm surprised you didn't mention the vocals, really. Overall I think their vocalist is a bit weak. I'm probably gonna get bashed for this, but he reminds of the guy from Trivium.

Haha. I've read a review from a bunch of idiots (absolutepunk.net) that loved the new vocals and claimed that's what elevated the band from being mediocre, and I read a review from some generally smarter people (punknews.org) that said that vocals were lackluster. I happen to like the vocals equally to those of the previous album (which is a pretty favorable opinion). I think people are disappointed with the singing, which I can see, but I love the power of his screams. It reminds me of the furosity of the screams of All Else Failed, who interestingly also have some weird clean singing vox.

My friend informs me that the singer of Fall Out Boy is featured on one of the songs? That's terrible, I'm going to puke when I hear that.

Yes Fall Out Boys singer is on 1 song on this cd entitled One Day I'll Stay Home. It's not gay like you would expect, its actually very nicely done. It is only done twice once near the beginning the other towards the end I had no idea it was him when I heard it, its honestly good. Anyway Mirrors is a great album, and one of my nominations for album of the year the other being As Blood Runs Black's Allegiance and All Shall Perish's The Price Of Existence the only thing that doesnt make this album perfect is Karl Schubachs vocals sound like that of a typical hardcore band (but he sounds absolutely nothing like the atrocity that is Matthew Heafys voice in response to the Trivium comment) Jesse Zaraskas was so much more original and his vocals would have made this cd better, its already great but Karl takes some getting used to.Of Malice and The Magnum Heart will forever be my favorite album of all time.Overall I give it a

It's a shame the album trails off towards the end, the first 7-8 songs are amazing.

Oh I love that song. It's so taut in its catchiness.

I don't think it's catchy, I think it's just annoying.

with something Norma Jean has released, which is plain unjust Below The Belt

Actually, "One Day I'll Stay Home" isn't all bad. If you listen to it once in a while it's ok.

wow. i just listened to mirrors all the way through. i was completely taken back.
im so used to scene metalcore bands that i wasnt expecting something.. good.
the first thing i noticed about signals was their ability to transition effortlessly between parts i never would have though possible but not only do they do it well, it sounds even more amazing because of it.
oh yeah, and im seeing them on saturday.

Ya this album is so savage. It's really lasting in the long haul. I'm really glad I put this where I did on my top ten list.

Last album I would expect to become better with each listen. It would be great if the vocalist extended his range for the next album, but the screams fit here because they have power behind them. This Message Edited On 06.03.07

I love this album. Finally got it today. Really, overall, it's one of the only albums I can listen to straight through. And even to me, the weakest track (An offering to the Insatiable sons of god), was still listenable. I really enjoy this album, immensely.
