I wish guitarded_chuck or hep kat were here to call me a pussy because I didn't want to endure 70 minutes of oxymoron or 51 minutes of trap lord

To be completely fair, there are plenty of albums that cross the hour mark that I love, but the Drake situation is exactly what I mean. Im not listening to a fucking Drake double album and it feels like a lot of these really mainstream artists are doing this.

And ya go for those streams but it makes your records feel like a bloated fucking mess. I haven’t heard a single song here but I guarantee at least five tracks here could’ve been cut.

I feel you, Wildcard. Not that I'm at all familiar with Drake's music because I'm not.

But an album over an hour that is great to listen to can be far more engaging than a monotonous 40 minute album. Length is less an issue for me. It's what the artist does in that time that I'm looking for.

I tried to give his newest album a chance, but I stopped as soon as he started saying women should be told what utensils to use for their food

I don't think I could recall a single one of his songs. I know the name of a few, but I don't know how they go. There are a number of pop artists I don't actively seek out but still hear on the radio or in public, but somehow, I've never heard a Drake song despite him being one of the most popular artists actively working.

I still think the claim that drake albums are bloated in the name of streams/clicks holds no water when take care was almost 90 minutes long. Spotify was irrelevant in 2011

I always forget that Take Care was 80 minutes. I guess it just flies by more quickly or something
