idk where this ambiguity cope comes from it is clearly 2 ppl with one reaching directly between the other's buttocks
perhaps the aim was for the leg, or perhaps even the one on top is unconscious as the bottom performs a fireman's carry, but that arm, by deliberate intent or happenstance, is staunchly in there

When I'm in the furniture
I believe what I can
What I seek could be so nice
What I seek could be so lifelike paint in wine
And I wake to find that there's somеthing in a back room
And there's nothing in the front room
Oh, my feet arе still in the garden
i thought these lyrics were deep

Agreed @DadKungFu, this is textbook "pastel flower person reaching between my cheeks-core", nothing innovative but delivers upon the sound really well

In all seriousness, I thought this might be a classic when I heard "These Morning", but nothing else here has grabbed me near as much

when she's in the furniture, an outside perspective? like she's wooden? no one sees her, just a backdrop for people to sit or lay on
she sees the things going on around her, believing they could be hers too
but it is all a dream, all her past luggage is stored away in that room-that-must-not-be-entered, and up ahead...well, nothing to be seen but the bare walls
and yet the potential is there, she still stands in this thing of beauty, will the flowers wilt? will they flourish?

idk about nothing innovative, Sun Girl and (to a lesser degree) Talking to the Whisper are both more innovative than anything else that comes to mind from a 2024 release of this profile, even if a lot of this is familiar ground within JH's discog

Johnny, to be clear regarding the "nothing innovative", I was just attempting to further the joke Dadkungfu made by creating a made-up genre. May not have been clear, but nothing in that comment was intended to be taken seriously.
I'm not particularly familiar with Julia Holter beyond Aviary and this one, let alone whatever broader style this is, so I don't have too much perspective on where this is pushing boundaries or not. It's quite pretty in spots though and I will be revisiting Loud City Song.
