I thought this was released the 22nd.

It was released in several countries yesterday. They're an American band so the American release date is the one they've been focusing on, which is the 22nd.
@ToWhatEnd: Thanks a lot, it's always gratifying to know that people actually listen to what reviewers have to say.
and they now solo in more songs than they have in their past three albums combined.
That's always a plus. That might make me like them more. Out of all of the tracks, how many have 'em?
Oh yes, great review. Again. Yea.This Message Edited On 08.21.06

Score another excellent review for the Ben-man!
I'm pretty sure I'm going to dig this CD. It's hard not to like Lamb of God.
Unless you're a fucking purist.

So I listened to the whole thing last night. It was a solid album, but there are a few filler tracks here and there.
Blacken the Cursed Sun is a godly track though.

I'm expecting that too. 'Walk With Me In Hell' is pretty good. That's the only track I've got so far.
Thor, you want to hook me up with a set number of how many songs have solos in 'em?

I'm pretty sure only four of the songs have real guitar solos in them, but they're not entirely needed for every song. They're just added bonuses in my opinion.

I wish they'd solo more. I know the guitarists are good. I just wish they'd "show-off" a bit more if you catch my drift...oh well, I heard 'Redneck' online and its grown on me quite alot and it didn't have 'em, so I figure I'll still enjoy this even without them...Thanks Thor...

I can see what you mean. I think Morton and Adler have finally done what they needed to do as guitarists. They've balanced the technicality with the badass chugging riffs. It's ideal for the group.

This was the first I'd heard from the band, and I have to say it was painfully mediocre, but sparked my interest.

yeah this looks a tad overproduced and such

I have listened to the album and I like what I heard. However, I can't give it a four because some of the tracks just don't seem to flow well with the album and seemed like they were rushed to me. There are excellent songs on here and just average songs on this cd. Overall, 3.5/5

Ha ha, the "Redneck" video is pretty awesome.
As for the song, it sounded pretty "stock" (James Hetfield would hate that I said that). It wasn't bad, but Randy didn't seem like Randy, and the rest of the song was a little too straight-forward for my LoG preference. It sure wasn't "Laid To Rest".
Im learning it on guitar and it isn't that straight-forward! the riffs here and there get a quite tricky

There are too few songs with standout riffs. That was the one major weakpoint.
And on a final tally, 5 songs have full solos and 2 have kind of background solos where Blyth screams over them. This Message Edited On 08.21.06
