Really, really good album even though the first track almost made me turn it off immediately. The nu-metal/modern metal part, hell even the main melody of the first track just don't work for me.

What nu metal part you talking about? The delivery of the first track is immense! The album really evolves into something else for the back half too. Lots of shades of color

The chugga part that starts about 6:26. Or call it "modern" but for me it's a bit out of place in the context of the rest of the album.
