Dang this is quite good too, Dewi was right on point recommending this. Best January for metal (specially extreme metal) ever? It could perfectly be tbh.

This could be bumped to a 4.5 soon actually

PS: That midsection in Bone Ornament is so Godflesh-ish, evolving later into some kind of Blood Incantation riffing to end the song in pure Atmo-Black fashion. Then next song, "Howl of Gleaming Swords", starts like a Weakling song before going full Panopticon mode. So freaking good.

Absolutely love this man.

Not kidding Dewi, this is brilliant. Besides it's a very eclectic record. Each song has its own personality and thing going.

They do touch on a lot of subgenres, but the way they link the whole thing together is stunning.

Not feeling this much tbh. Citadels in Ruin is a fucking amazing song but not many truly great moments for me.

I also see a very minimal influence there but it's how they describe their music so who am I to challenge that? (shrug)

I don’t quite hear the psych either but I do agree that there does appear to be some eclecticism in their influences. Gonna get on this properly next week

They're not the Pazuzu that's for sure but hey, whatever, if they wanna call themselves aprociphatic post trippycore I don't care, as long as the album rips.

If I had decimal ratings it would happily sit in 4.2 or 4.3 territory
