Damn road to joy sounds alot like kiss that frog

Pretty solid about 6-7 tracks in. It's no Melt but PG has literally never put out a bad record and even 20 plus years later this is proof of that

Wait a minute… Panopticon is in BNM, and this has a song on it called Panopticon… This whole thing reeks of a conspiracy

What a beautiful album, lyrics of Playing for Time hit me just like a sledgehammer (almost no pun intended here). Almost moved me to tears, getting more and more soft-hearted with each passing year it seems. Might be my personal AOTY so far.

Yeah, Playing for Time is easily among my favorites here. Love the piano work on that one

I'm very curious about this new work of Gabriel. I need to check it when I've some more time.
Meanwhile, nice work, pal.

Playing for Time is such a cool song wow
Would rather have one mix that is just a mash up of both the mixes though.
The bright mix is too bright for me, and the dark mix too dark...

Not really finding this all that compelling, only about 4 or 5 tracks I really like

Yeah. Peter Gabriel is a pretty cool guy. He does the music well.

Yes, back to 3.8 where it belongs.
This is a strong 4 for me, can def imagine bumping it up, still grows on me. The vinyl version is very nice as well, very good pressing and beautiful packing. High-res download included. It's just a bit irritating that the order of the titles on vinyl is slightly different than with the digital version.
|
| |
As in on the packing or the vinyl itself?

On the vinyl itself, somehow it's a different listening experience. So far I prefer the digital track order somehow, just feels more balanced.
Just can't express how much I adore some of the songs on here, I'm tempted to order the Dark-Side Mix Vinyl as well, even if it's awfully expensive.
