Grim Dawn is a great game indeed. So I have bad taste in music (or hip hop) cause I dont like lyrical rap? Lmao

Great write-up butkuiss! saves me from the staff dib that's been hanging over my head the last few days, lol. still have to hear the second half of this, a few tracks so far like Pigeonometry are right up there with his best but like, the one about Mr T? Literally the most pointless thing I have ever heard aes do, real genX "back in my day" hours

Thanks Kompys! Yes, the Mr T track was probably one of the bigger head scratchers here - made me feel like I was talking to one of my Gen-X cousins after a few too many pints.

Imho very few albums justify an hour long runtime, but I’m also the guy who thinks metal and hardcore bands should only do 20 minute sets (not a popular idea with the other members of the metal and hardcore bands I’ve been in!)

nothing worse than the one local hardcore band on the bill thinking people want to watch them play for 45 minutes lol

I completely agree; unless you’re an international headliner the crowd will probably catch you again sometime. The last thing you want to do is leave people thinking “thank god that’s finally over”.

if you take out the two intro / interlude tracks, the album is almost exactly an hour long. how is that an overwhelming length?

It wouldn’t have be an overwhelming length 15 years ago, but it’s 2023 and big tech and big pharma have destroyed all my brain cells so that I can only focus on 15 second tik tok clips and click on instagram ads.

I love the Mr. T track and def don't get any of the "back in my day" type vibe you guys are mentioning.

Bruh big ups to the groups that do the 20ish minute sets - unless its for some national band I'm making a point to go see. Even for my own group, when we play live I always want to just play 6 or 7 short tracks and be done. Whet them whistles and don't overstay the welcome...
